SURREAL VACATION HOME ON THE BEACH, MOTIVATED SELLER Are we dreaming, or is this a real place? A sturdy hardwood home, located on a Caribbean white sand beach, adorned in swirly custom mosaic art work. A place where dreams become art, and art becomes life! THE HOME Masterfully crafted, this 3 story home is bejeweled with one of a kind mosaics which reflect glimmers of the Caribbean sun. Built in the traditional hardwoods of the region, the home is resistant to pests and salt and sun damage, providing a sturdy, lower maintenance, beachfront experience. Views of the Zapatillas islands and turquoise waters of the Archipelago can be seen from the outdoor living spaces of all 3 levels, beautifully orientated to the West for fiery sunsets. Sea breezes dance through the home all day thanks to the open air layout. The ground floor of the home has a large covered living space with a path that leads to the calm sea front, perfect for lazy swimming. There is a concrete storage area and a studio garden suite. An outdoor staircase leads up to the living quarters on the second floor with an open concept kitchen, a bar and pass through to the front porch, a seating area and one bedroom/bathroom. From the living room, a staircase leads to the mezzanine where the other 2 beds are located and the second bathroom has an outdoor shower with an incredible view. This third level also has ample outdoor living space to welcome the serene sea views. THE LAND The white sand beach, calm clear water, and a spectacular coral reef make this special home even more of a once in a lifetime opportunity. Everyone seems to dream of owning a beach, but most beaches in Bocas del Toro are not always accessible due to wave action, this property however offers a rare exception. Located on the leeward side of Isla Bastimentos, the waterfront is protected from the open ocean and swimable all year round. The best of both worlds meet right here, miles of sandy beach to wander and dock space to keep your boat. The last home in a row of vacation beach homes, this 900 m2 property is where the small community ends and the wild beach begins. Connected by a sandy path, the home is not far from a hotel restaurant and cocktail bar, and its only a 10 minute boat ride to the exotic Zapatillas Islands. A half hour hike will bring you the opposite side of the island where you can surf and wander the protected beaches where the turtles nest. THE COMMUNITY Located about 40 minutes from Bocas Town and the airport, the Surreal Beach Home is located in Punta Vieja on Isla Bastimentos, near to the community of Salt Creek. A long standing partnership between the current owners, the previous owners, and the community is a valuable asset to inherit with the purchase of this home. The dedicated local families have been a great help in renting the home to vacationers, coordinating logistics, providing fresh seafood, home and garden maintenance, and are generally outstanding stewards of the environment. THE DREAM The Surreal Beach Home is perfect for a Vacation Rental: Gain some return on your investment by renting the home to vacationers looking for the white sand beach, off grid island experience.
